If the big coal companies get their way, eventually the the Appalachians and ultimately the United States, period, will begin to look like the moon, because there are only a finite number of mountains, yet a vast, global addiction to coal. Big coal would have us believe you can restore mountain tops like you grow trees, but what kind of idiots do they take us for, claiming they can restore what it took Mother Nature millions of years to create with a few shovels full of dirt and some shrubbery, so to speak.
