from asserting our democratic rights. Some votes are useless altogether other than

recording a popular vote that takes second place to the present system. The author has just published a study on this topic, “Let the People Pick the President: The Case for Abolishing the Electoral College." (St. Martin's Books, 2020) Well-known activist and EI expert Steve Rosenfeld has also written a chapter on this subject in his 2018 book "Democracy Betrayed." (Hotbooks)
