It is predicted that we will encounter what in General Systems Theory is called a "far from equilibrium" system.
In such a situation the apparently impossible can happen. As we undergo an extreme condition, a major reorganization can occur: in this leap we may feel that the human psyche has become alive at new levels; the human family may experience itself in new and previously impossible ways. As in physical contexts, the subtle interconnections that lie beneath the surface of our world may emerge to shape the system itself in monumentally life-enhancing ways.
Conclusion
If we experience an existential collapse of "reality as we know it," we may also open to a vast reassessment of our relation to ourselves, other people and to the Earth. We can work for - and create - circumstances for our species, akin to the caterpillar who crafts a cocoon and later emerges as a beautiful butterfly.

We begin our journeys by clarifying and growing comfortable within the boundaries of our own worldview.
Sooner or later, however, life presents us with challenges that we can't meet from within these boundaries.
We are then confronted with a decision: do we retreat within the fortified walls of the ego and resign ourselves to a resulting limited experience of life? Or do we allow ourselves to be drawn outside our comfort zones, thus inviting transformation and growth?
