Imagine the people having the equal right and equal opportunity to name on a write in ballot who they want to represent them in government. Imagine that the people could name a number of individuals, regardless of their occupation, who are well known for their wisdom, understanding and good works that benefit all humanity.

Imagine that from the list of top nominees (who the people would be essentially trying to draft), six women and six men who accepted the call would be elected to form an executive council that would replace the former chief executive. And imagine adopting this whole new way of determining how we choose the leadership we actually want.

Imagine that such leadership would naturally produce a government that would promote the general welfare and use the common wealth for the common good -- a government that would ensure domestic tranquility by ensuring widespread prosperity, real freedom and liberty, and actual justice for all the people.

Imagine nation after nation adopting this new way until all nations on earth enjoyed real Democracy and government that would be of the people, by the people, and for the people.

Imagine that then the United Nations would be truly united, as a cooperative, collaborative family of nations, guided by an executive council rather than a chief executive, following the lead of the first nation to adopt that model.

Will America be the first? We shall see, but even though you may call me a dreamer, that is my dream, based on a sound vision.

(The above was inspired not only by Lennon's song Imagine, but also by an article that is one of the key components of the message I've been promoting for years. And that article includes The 21st Century Declaration of Independence.)
