The US Military Industrial Complex invades, occupies, intimidates, and even kills innocent civilians of other nations (and even its own citizens). Then in order to gain public support for their tyrannical practices, the government and media use fear mongering on its citizens with such devices as the "Terror-Alert" system of colors for various levels of terrorist threat. They fabricate lies of "Weapons of mass destruction" that our enemies will supposedly use on us, our families, children, babies, schools, churches, etc., etc., etc...
Jonestown was doomed to fail. I will say one thing positive about their
tragic end however. At least the people
of Jonestown knew not only that they were going to die, they knew exactly how
and when they would die, and made a conscious choice to end their lives.
The people of the U.S., as well as
many other nations in this modern civilization, are doomed to fail as well if
we continue on the current course. The
difference is that they are being deluded to believe that they are fulfilling
some sick sort of Manifest Destiny to conquer everyone and everything on the
entire planet. AND - that if they just
work harder and trust the powers that be, everything will be all right, with a
cute and fuzzy Disney ending.
In reality however, working harder is
only succeeding in killing more innocent people and destroying the very planet
we rely on, and all for the sole purpose of helping the powers that be to gain
even more power and wealth. We are
digging our own graves, and the powers that be keep telling us that if we just
dig a little more the hole will somehow magically fill up. Our civilization is like a runaway locomotive
heading toward a cliff, and society keeps telling us if we just work harder and
keep shoveling more coal, then the locomotive will miraculously fly down to
safety.
It is time to put down the shovels,
stop digging, and stop adding more coal to a system that is doomed to
fail. This system is a failure and it is
long overdue to be scrapped. Yet the
people of this society keep deluding themselves into believing that it will all
be changed for the better through fraudulent practices such as the
election. It is like having a car with
square wheels but thinking that buying a different brand of gas will help it to
move. The design is flawed. The design is a failure. At what point will the people finally realize
they don't need the car with the square wheels anymore and remember that they
have 2 perfectly good legs?
There is another way. In fact, there are most likely many alternative ways. So put down the shovel, jump from the train, or step out of the car. Start walking and find a new way, a new path...
