What seems to be the two places we will continue to have ANY power AFTER the Internet falls is in our BUYING decisions AND in where we choose to WORK (i.e. who and what we give our LABOR to). If we took a "holiday" for 1 month we could probably collectively turn this thing around - yet we need a plan. That is the purpose of this article.
We can assure you that this bill NEEDS to be the flashpoint that ALL other issues from this point forward coalesce around and REFER back to.
If you think you have a BETTER issue where the media is in blackout, corporations and other organizations are in direct collusion with the government, congress - BOTH Democrats and Republicans - are selling out the American people (in the same way they did with the Patriot Act), the bill does MORE DAMAGE to ALL OF US then the Patriot Act AND the the issue is EASILY verifiable by those people in the "public mind", let us know.

What we are witnessing in this country is a growing group of people saying "I am going to be accountable to no one", with the President of the United States leading that charge. They are able to do so because the media is not telling people what is really happening in this country.
Many people actually mistakenly believe that the media MUST tell them the truth. The TRUTH is in Flordia, around 2000, it was determined it is not against the law to falsify the news (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eZkDikRLQrw) - this was regarding Bovine Growth Hormone (RBST), put into cows that is now in our milk and is linked to Cancer. The FDA allowed this to go into our milk. The media covered this up due to the risk of loss of advertising dollars from Monsanto corporation - the drug producer. The government protected the media corporations from facing justice - but the results were startling and ALSO hidden from the American people.
This was the fall of the media - the 4th estate. If you look at what has happened in this country since then, we invaded a soverign nation and took a pre-emptive policy on attacking "emerging threats" right out of PNAC, we we outed a CIA agent, we now support torture, our Constitution and Bill of Rights is being destroyed daily, kids are being taken from their parents on unfounded allegations, gas prices are expected to rise to $10 a gallon once we invade Iran which the Bush Administration is determined to do before the 2008 election, yet the media continues to REFUSE to INFORM the people how bad it really is and how much DANGER the US population is really in right now.
Now these SAME PEOPLE who want to avoid accountability though S 1959 want to label ANYONE a TERRORIST who seeks to hold THEM ACCOUNTABLE (http://www.youtube.com/AdvocacyCorporation). This will be the death knell of the Bill of Rights - Freedom of Speech will effectively die.
Many people are trying to create a kind of system based on THIS paradigm: "How do you build a system where people, organizations and government can do what they want and not be held accountable?" This is by design and unless we come to grips with this quickly and break down the walls between business and politics - between people and their work and what it is they do - between our hearts, our minds and our wallets - the consequences will be grave.
