So in his account of the human psyche, he has doubled the four-part account of the human psyche in Aristotelian-Thomistic philosophy. Nevertheless, we should note the following alignments:

(1) intellect/the two Magician archetypes

(2) will/the King and the Queen archetypes

(3) concupiscible appetites/the two Lover archetypes

(4) irascible appetites/the two Warrior archetypes

But this is not all that Moore claims. For each of the eight archetypes of maturity, he claims there are three different and distinct forms: (1) the optimal form and (2-3) two "shadow" forms. He conceptualizes the two "shadow" forms as bipolar opposites of one another, as well as opposites with each optimal form. So 8 x 3 = 24 different and distinct forms. How are we going to remember all 24 forms?

To help us remember the 24 forms, Moore suggests that we think of the three forms of each archetype of maturity as forming a triangle with the two "shadow" forms as the baseline of the triangle and each optimal form as the apex of each triangle.

Next, he suggests that we think of putting the eight triangles together to create a diamond-shaped structure.
