As our nation is recovering from the attempted bombing attacks on politicians and high-profie citizens, another domestic terrorist act of violence has been launched.Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania's historic Tree of Life synagogue and its congregants are the latest victims of the violence that continues to plague our nation.Robert Bowers is the believed perpetrator and is in custody. This latest event should serve to elevate the conversation over bigotry and hatred that has been publicly manifested during the last few years.A question we might all ask ourselves is what part does incendiary political rhetoric play not in causing but rather in exacerbating acts of prejudice?Watch as President Trump explains his idea of how to stop incidents such as this from happening. Is he suggesting that we have a society where armed guards are needed everywhere to protect essential liberties?

Saturday, October 13, 2018 Racism in Liberal Vermont -- Time to Look in Our Own Backyard!SHARE
If you think racism only exists in the deep South, think again. It's in your backyard!!RACISM CONTINUES TO REAR ITS UGLY HEAD.Racism is systemic and manifests in a variety of forms. Some is overt and much is hidden, or acknowledged with a knowing look.If we don't speak up and point out every instance then we should not expect change. What would happen if each of us calls out a "friend" when they make a statement that exhibitis a racists outlook ... particularly when they don't consider themselves racist (and perhaps aren't at the core of their soul?)What happens when a nation elects a leader that refuses to denounce white supremacists who support him? Who doesn't speak out about the alleged murder of a reporter, who condones ripping children from their parents arms and locking them in cages...To paraphrase Martin Luther King Jr., When you tolerate one racist act you tolerate all racism.

During the Kavanaugh confirmation travesty, Republicans chose to use outside counsel to question the veracity of Dr. Christine Blasey Ford's sexual assault allegations. This is not a point that we can afford to drop now that Kavanaugh is on the Supreme Court. We need to continue to question all aspects of Kavanaugh's confirmation hearing."...Mitchell improperly leveraged her position as a prosecutor to further the goals of a private client. Prosecutors in this country are rightly held to a different standard than other lawyers. This is not a partisan issue, and Mitchell’s conduct must not become accepted precedent in prosecutorial practice..." Friday, October 12, 2018 Mitch McConnell - US Senator Who Rejects Democracy!SHARE
Mitch McConnell has been perverting our democracy from the moment he became speaker of the house... and for sometime before! After Barack Obama's election he stated "my number one priority is making sure president Obama’s a one-term president."His obstruction of Obama judicial nominations forced Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nevada) in 2015 to use the "nuclear option" that changed the requirement of a 60 vote mandate for judicial appointments, but not for The Supreme Court. This in turn empowered McConnell to use the same tactic for Donald Trump's SCOTUS nominees. He is revered by many republicans for his refusal to bring President Obama's SCOTUS nominee Merrick Garland up for a confirmation hearing. He later stated, "One of my proudest moments was when I looked Barack Obama in the eye and I said, 'Mr. President, you will not fill the Supreme Court vacancy.' "

THE SUPREME COURT REFUSED TO"... hear a challenge to North Dakota's voter I.D. laws by a vote of 6-2 (with Brett Kavanaugh not participating), upholding a lower court decision that will likely prevent thousands of Native Americans from voting in November..." ”... According to the website of the Native American Rights Fund, which represents the plaintiffs, many native residents lack residential street addresses because “the U.S. postal service does not provide residential delivery in these rural Indian communities.” As a result, tribal IDs use P.O. boxes, which are not sufficient under North Dakota’s new law—a specification that seems designed to disenfranchise native voters..." ONCE AGAIN WE SEE THE WORK OF CONSERVATIVE REPUBLICANS TO DISENRANCHISE VOTERS IT BELIEVES SKEW DEMOCRATIC! THE "ORIGINAL AMERICANS" ARE DISSED YET AGAIN BY THE GOVERNMENT!

IS THIS A FORESHADOWING OF THINGS TO COME? A KAVANAUGH ANTI-ENVIRONMENT DECISION MADE WHILE HE WAS ON A LOWER COURT AND S.C.O.T.U.S. REFUSED TO HEAR IT!"The U.S. Supreme Court on Tuesday turned aside appeals of a 2017 lower court ruling by its newest justice, Brett Kavanaugh, that struck down an environmental rule imposed under former President Barack Obama regulating a potent greenhouse gas linked to climate change." Thursday, October 4, 2018 Systemic Racism Rears It's Ugly Head in Texas Senate CampaignSHARE
A black grandmother accompanied by her two grandchildren while campaigning for Texas Senate candidate Beto O'Rourke was told by a white male to go back where she came from.Canvassing local neighborhoods on behalf of a politician is an American tradition.Compounding the increased "overt racism" we have witnessed over the past two years is the rancid underbelly and largely "unvoiced" opinions of the Trump Administration. The cowardice of the Republican Congress to speak out against President Trump and his condoning of an attitude that promotes racism is inexcusable. Please think about this as you cast your vote in the mid-term elections!
