I got a letter on Sen. Leahy's Truth Commission, looking like it came directly from democrats.com?
Dear Carter,
Sen. Patrick Leahy recently proposed a truth and reconciliation commission to investigate abuses during the Bush-Cheney Administration - so they never happen again. These abuses include the use of torture, extraordinary rendition, and executive override of laws.
Please sign his online petition urging Congress to establish a truth and reconciliation commission to investigate the Bush-Cheney Administration's abuses.

Nice letter Bob. I also unsubscribed as well. Where was Leahy for the last eight years? Funny how there is a lot of hyperbole and big bold graphics in Senator's Leahy's letter under your letterhead but no 'brief' mention of the immunity being offered? That's a shameful omission. Cheney, Rumsfield and that whole bunch went through the Church commission and look what that experience taught them? Nada. Nothing about the facts of truth commissions and what they are really meant to do. Shield the guilty to strike again.
This is a Nation of Laws and courts, not Truth Commissions. What is this a banana republic? If indictments, prosecutions, and verdicts are required (no matter how long it takes), we must as a Nation of laws do it. Or we are all guilty.
Cozy fuzzy feelings of reconcilliation is BS spin as far the enforcement of impartial laws. This type of framing is disgraceful after the war crimes and abuses of Bush and Cheney. Democrats.com WTF? CYA!
