Regarding Belarus and Lukashenko's legitimate reelection, Brussels allied with the Trump regime's aim to illegally replace him with pro-Western puppet rule by "opt(ing) for illegal unilateral sanctions" and allying with US-controlled elements in the country.
Unacceptable actions by EU states "violat(e) the principle of non-interference in the internal affairs of sovereign states set out in the Helsinki Final Act" and UN Charter.
Sergey Lavrov said Western states aren't ready to accept a system based on cooperative relations with the world community of nations, adding:
"I view the attempts to ignore this reality and the attempts to prevent the formation of such relations that would fully respect these new achievements of many countries as short-sighted and dangerous."
"Western (regimes) have been setting the tone in world affairs for almost half a millennium, controll(ing) econom(ies) through colonial conquests"and removal of (their) natural resources."
"Over these 500 years, a lot has happened, but even after the colonial system collapsed, the relationship between mentor and mentee, master and assistant, still has a significant impact on the mentality of Western politicians."
Lavrov called for non-intrusive dialogue to resolve things in Belarus, stressing the following:
"We believe that there is no need for any intrusive mediation services."
"We will be guided by international law, the obligations that exist between us and the Republic of Belarus."
"We want the Belarusians themselves to be given an opportunity to solve their problems without any interference from outside."
He slammed illegal meddling in Belarus' internal affairs by the West and neighboring states.
He criticized US designated puppet Svetlana Tikhanovskaya for "using undemocratic methods that do not show respect for the sovereignty of Belarus."
It's for Belarusians alone to decide on their government free from foreign meddling as mandated by international law.
