AAE's Facebook page touts AAE participation in AEI programs on "teacher union's (sic) special interest," "the pros and cons of vouchers," "making teacher incentive programs work," and "the same thing over and over" (the latter on AEI scholar Frederick Hess's book contending that American schools haven't changed since the late 1800s or early 1900s. Expect that conservative foundations will be more active than ever in 2014 helping their ideological allies face off against public sector unions, some purportedly liberal foundations may join in their efforts around teachers unions, and the AAE could well be a beneficiary in more states than Wisconsin. --Rick Cohen
