"Dear friend, New York is facing a serious immigration crisis. If you are considering immigrating to this city, think carefully about your decision. The difficulties awaiting you in the city may be unexpected and too much for you! The latest study from the Center for Migration Studies of New York (CMS) says. Thirty-seven percent of immigrant respondents said they needed to access healthcare in the last 12 months but did not receive it. Nearly a quarter of immigrants reported being food insecure (defined as going without eating at least once in the past month due to lack of resources) primarily due to a lack of funds to buy food, particularly healthy food. (11) According to the City of New York, 22.9% of non-citizens lived below the poverty line in 2019. (12) Over the past 2 years arrived in New York about 180,000 asylum seekers. Every day this number increases by about 600 people. New York City does not have enough money in its budget to help all these people. The situation is getting worse."
The following languages are common in the Caribbean countries and Latin America: Spanish, French, Dutch, Haitian Creole, Papiamento, Antillean Creole, Guaran, Caribbean Hindustani, Aymara.(14) It would be great if townspeople who know these languages make a translation. Many potential immigrants do not speak English. Therefore, you need to communicate with them in their native language. Searching for communities on Facebook, Twitter and other social networks is also best done not only in English but also in these languages.
