Protecting women from violence means protecting trans women too, which cannot be achieved if we begin by questioning their gender identity. Because our organizations are so far apart on this basic issue, I don't view this conversation as productive for either of us.

p.s. "Transgender" is actually an adjective, not a noun. The preferred terminology is "transgender people" rather than "transgenders".
