The night I was trying to publish an article, a call came in on Skype with a profile I don't know. It just kept ringing. I finally answered after the 40th ring, and it was a data signal (kind of like what you would hear in a mid-level grade-B movie) with muffled voices in the background. I hung up, but they called back, again ringing incessantly. I answered and got the same transmission as before. I then hung up a second time, but again they called back. At that point I blocked the caller. But, once more, they called back. How could they do so? I tried to back-check the profile, but it didn't exist.
A Final Note: Americans Must Make a ChoiceWhen asked if she had any regrets about her life, Slava Stetsko responded, " I have no guilty conscience...."
She brought Ukrainian Ultra Nationalism home to foment the revolution. She was one of Stepan Bandera's closest friends and compatriots. She was part of a guerilla unit. She was a leader in the genocide of over 500,000 Polish, Ukrainian, and Jewsh people. She was a hero of Democracy . She never had a guilty conscience.
A document of the Polish underground provides a condensed account of this terrible savagery:
"In all villages, settlements and colonies, without exception, the Ukrainians carried out the operation of murdering Poles with monstrous cruelty. Women -- even pregnant ones -- were nailed to the ground with bayonets; children were ripped apart by their legs; others were impaled on pitchforks and thrown over fences; members of the intelligentsia were tied with barbed wire and thrown into wells; arms, legs and heads were chopped off with axes; tongues were cut out, and ears and noses were cut off; eyes were gouged; genitals were butchered; bellies were ripped open and entrails pulled out; heads were smashed with hammers; living children were thrown inside burning houses. The barbaric frenzy reached a point that people were sawed apart alive and women had their breasts severed; others were impaled or beaten to death with sticks. Many people were killed -- after a death sentence -- by having their hands and feet chopped off, and only then their heads." Ewa Siemaszko, "The July 1943 genocidal operations of the OUN-UPA in Volhynia."
Slava Stetsko made her choice about conscience. What will America's be?
