We went down to the Battle of
Zuccotti Park,
In awe of the occupation.
A perfect Fall day in N.Y.C.
It was the Day of Atonement
And we were grateful to
Be alive to see the rebirth
Of resistance.
We first walked around the perimeter,
Checking out the police,
Encircling the rebels,
Waiting for direction
From above. Not heaven sent;
Possibly from the Mayor"s office.
Never too far off,
