Yet three years from the next national election, there is
already the voicing of liberals (?) that we cannot chance supporting such as
Elizabeth Warren or Bernie Sanders lest we lose to the likes of Jeb Bush, Marco
Rubio or whomever of the evil Republicans. Therefore we must support a "Lesser
Evil" candidate (Hillary?) if we are to win, with apparently "winning" being
what democracy, history, the future, humanity, and America are really all
about.
.
This facile proposition demands serious examination and
exemplification. Whatever the crimes of recent American
history's "Greater-Evil," we have our "Lesser-Evil" choices to thank for the
following:
.
...The nuclear carnage of Hiroshima and Nagasaki
.
...The Korean War
.
...The Viet Nam War
.
...The Invasion of Cuba
.
...The imposition of the never-ending embargo against
Cuba
.
...The nullification of Glass-Steagal and the subsequent rise
of the "Banksters" and the rape of our economy
.
...The carry-forward of the Bushco war in Afghanistan, as well
as the perpetuation of Guantanemo, despite promises to the contrary
.
...The escalation of drone attacks (Yemen and Pakistan) and
resultant slaughter of civilians
.
...The aircraft bombings of North Africa and resultant
civilian casualties
.
...The massive electronic spying on Americans by such as the
NSA
.
...The use of veto power in the U.N. in support of Zionism
(e.g. votes of we 2 vs 190 other nations)
.
...The perpetuation (despite Americans' popular notions to the
contrary) of the world's 37th "best" medical system, and a public education
system ranking no better
.
Notwithstanding that other intelligent and honest folk will
volunteer additions to this list, the main issue here is that it is delusional
if not moronic for persons who describe themselves as "progressive" to insist
upon copping out to the "Lesser-Evil" candidate for fear of "losing" an
election, rather than to support -- whatever the odds -- a candidate they
will admit to possessing superior intelligence, moral courage and genuine
goodwill.
.
The Evil Empire -- as history is replete with examples -- will
come to an end. By revolution? By foreign domination? Or could it be by
electoral process? Should that option have a chance, we must start upon its
fertilization now rather than to persist in the continued downward persuasion of
"Lesser-Evilism."
.
The "Lesser-Evil" choice will ultimately destroy America, the
electoral odds be damned! It may take a while, but America has a better chance
of a future history by persisting in the best choice we can muster. We need to
start fortifying that chance now!
