I am a retired physicist and hold a B.S. in Ch. E. as well. I have been an environmental activist since the early 1970s. I was a founding member of the Save Barton Creek Association in Austin, TX. In 2006 I was a member of a select committee of the Philmont Staff Association to advise Philmont Scout Ranch about opposing El Paso Natutal Gas's plan to drill and frack in the Valle Vidal in Carson National Forest. I studied the technology of horizontal gas drilling and the environmental effects associated with it. We defeated the plan proposed by El Paso Natural Gas. have been an active opponent of urban gas drilling in Fort Worth, TX since 2006. My present focus is global warming and the ominous effect of increasing atmospheric CO2.

My book, Last Train To El Paso--the Mysterious Unsolved Murder of a Cattle Baron was published in 2014. I have had two articles published in Wild West magazine,. This diary is a reply to PCR's illogical rant "Putin Confronts the American Dystopia". Comments were disabled at PCR's request, so I am responding in this diary.

Why we should study Modern Money Theory
SHARE More Sharing
MMT is the only theory of money that embraces and justifies egalitarianism and the elimination of inequality of wealth distribution. The question, "Where is the best economics now being done?" was answered by Economist James K. Galbraith in one word "UMKC". That's the initials of University of Missouri at Kansas City. The faculty there includes Michael Hudson, L. Randall Wray, Stephanie Kelton, Bill Black, and many other MMT advocates.

An unforeseen world emergency
SHARE More Sharing
We are witnessing a meltdown of President Trump. He is deranged. He must be removed from office. How that can be accomplished seems to be absent from the US Constitution. The alarming developments are accelerating. There is danger of collapse of the world order if this is not stopped quickly.

An ominous, sinister future lurks before us

The whole nation is staggering, although some--those who voted for Trump--are having their last end-zone victory dance in blissful ignorance of what they have wrought--and those who cheered as Hillary's henchmen waged her arrogant campaign against the people are reeling in disbelief.
