Congrats and jubilation are the words of the day, and well deserved by many of us long-persevering activists. [breathe]

Now back to work. The new Madame Speaker needs to back up her lovely words about reform and transparency. The new majority needs to hear from progressives about how we best move our country forward. And we progressives need to help transform the tone of the conversation.

Now is an excellent time to send out little messengers of peace and love.

As Dave Mason once sang (I trust excluding politicians and elitists),"There ain't no good guys. There ain't no bad guys. There's only you and me and we just disagree."

If we can be magnanimous in our victory, and strong in our principles, this could be an amazing two year cycle.
