Here is a copy of the e-mail I sent to Senator Orrin Hatch in response to his claim that the senate version of the health care bill will allow the government to come between a patient and his doctor. I suppose that the Senator's real objection is that an insurance company functionary might be displaced if it's true (which it isn't).
Senator Hatch:
I read this morning that you had disparaged the health care bill authored by the committee chaired by senator Ted Kennedy by stating that it would allow the government to come between a patient and his doctor. You said this despite the fact that the patients' bill of rights contained in the bill specificies that no part of the bill may be interpreted as such.
The question that this brings to mind is, how long is the string from the back of your head to Frank Luntz' hand that allows him to lie with your mouth? Do they allow him to be in the Senate chamber, behind your seat? Is he in there scurrying from Republican to Republican depending on who has the floor or is it set up like a tin can telephone array so he can operate Republicans in both houses all at the same time? Does Frank ever read the bills that he has you so lustily lie about, or are the lies composed in advance of the bills being written?
Maybe I'm out of order here in thinking that you guys don't have access to modern technology which allows you to parrot the propaganda automatically when a microphone is within range. I don't know, I guess I'll have to ponder it some more. I'm sure your next lie will contribute more data to help with this determination.
Oh, by the way, if single payer and government options are off the table, so is for profit. See if your rent-a-senator rates hold up with that arrangement.
