A sobering account that shows that indeed, it can happen here. If there's anyone left in the reality-based community who has not taken Trump's antics seriously up until now, Charlottesville is a red line. We must act now to save our country. Impeachment is necessary, but not sufficient. We need to correctly define terrorism, to turn our efforts to the form of terrorism that has been the most prevalent (i.e., right wing, domestic terrorism). Finally, we need to stop pretending that laws and policies that disenfranchise minorities - both ethnic and religious - are unrelated to such hate and violence.
