If we follow Romney's lead, then since corporations are people, perhaps we can line up the Board of Directors and the stockholders of Monsanto and charge them with murder? Mm, lethal injection, hanging or firing squad could apply for the murderous activities that they do. Hey, if you want to be a person, then you need to be held accountable. If execution is on the books for your crime, you need to face it! Your board of directors, stockholders and employees are all cells comprising your person-hood. It's only right. If one executes a person for murder, then all the cells of his body die right along with him. Thus, it should be that all those involved with the corporation should be executed, or jailed, if that is indeed the case for a particular company. Personally, I would foresee a really quick exodus from the board rooms of several corporations if we took corporate person-hood seriously.

It appears we are in a very dangerous situation with these corporate leaders. Indeed, they fit the following psyhciatric criteria of a psychopath, according to the Diagnostic Statistics Manual IV. These criteria are:

  • Failure to conform to social norms with respect to lawful behaviors as indicated by repeatedly performing acts that are grounds for arrest

  • Deceitfulness, as indicated by repeated lying, use of aliases, or conning others for personal profit or pleasure

  • Impulsivity or failure to plan ahead

  • Irritability and aggressiveness, as indicated by repeated physical fights or assaults

  • Reckless disregard for safety of self or others

  • Consistent irresponsibility, as indicated by repeated failure to sustain consistent work behavior or honor financial obligations

  • Lack of remorse, as indicated by being indifferent to or rationalizing having hurt, mistreated, or stolen from another

It should not take one a long time of consideration regarding the behavior of corporations like Pepsi, Monsanto, and Cargill before one sees the pattern of corporations in relationship to the above criteria. Why is the Jury of the American people still out?

To Romney I would answer, "My dear corporate-sponsored friend, corporations are evil psychopaths that have no remorse for killing people and destroying this wonderful planet that nurtures us. And, as many blood thirsty murderers have found out, these behaviors result in the potential of life imprisonment or execution. If corporations are people, then let's treat them as such!"

Corporations are not people, just as any sociopath, such as Adolf Hitler, is not a humane being. I would not dare to call them animals for animals have more sense then corporations. Corporations are sociopathic killing machines. Animals kill primarily for food or to protect themselves.

Since many of the same corporations that Romney kisses up to also are kissed up to by Obama and the Democrats, then regardless of who we vote in, the Corporations are going to win. Humankind can be better than this--more humane, more equitable, and ultimately more sustainable.

The lyrics of "Won't Get Fooled Again" by The Who provide a relevant segue here:

We'll be fighting in the streets
With our children at our feet
And the morals that they worship will be gone
And the men who spurred us on
Sit in judgment of all wrong
They decide and the shotgun sings the song
