I'm offended that in New York, in a situation that did not have any of the ambiguities of Ferguson, we received the exact same, disappointing but predictable, outcome.
On the other hand, I'm excited to see more professional athletes joining the Rams in gestures of solidarity, wearing shirts that say "I can't breathe." These athletes are in a unique position, with so many eyes on them at each game, to send a strong message. My Facebook profile now has a picture of my hands in the air, in a "don't shoot me" position. If you're offended, I'm not sorry. Please join me in being offended. I hope you're offended at a lot more than my photo.
