Just today, CBS News warned us that Israel is pressuring the United States to attack Iran, so time grows short, and while I support votestrike.com, I still maintain if we wait until September the 11th to start a general strike, it may be too late, as martial law may already be imposed and Iran is likely to be in ruins, as well as the rest of the Middle-East:

White House Weighs Striking Iran’s Nuclear Complex, Which Could Trigger 3rd War In Region
(CBS) Joint Chiefs Chairman Admiral Mike Mullen leaves Tuesday night on an overseas trip that will take him to Israel, reports CBS News national security correspondent David Martin. The trip has been scheduled for some time but U.S. officials say it comes just as the Israelis are mounting a full court press to get the Bush administration to strike Iran’s nuclear complex.
CBS consultant Michael Oren says Israel doesn’t want to wait for a new administration.
“The Israelis have been assured by the Bush administration that the Bush administration will not allow Iran to nuclearize,” Oren said. “Israelis are uncertain about what would be the policies of the next administration vis-à-vis Iran.” MUCH MORE
To anyone that can read, it’s more than obvious that the White House appears to be subservient to Israel’s desire to attack Iran, and the urgency that’s being expressed is alarming. If you think fuel prices are high now, what do you think will happen if Bush and Cheney turn the Middle East into a “Ball of Fire?” Every sign and every word that is coming from the United Nations, The White House and Israel are preparing the public for a war with Iran - and the reality of the situation is that the only people that can stop this war from starting is Congress, and they won’t act unless they are forced to by the American public!
Do not underestimate the power of the people of America! Even the Truckers, operating on their own could shut this country down, and I have few doubts that it’s coming, but why should they shoulder all of the responsibility?
We, as Americans, have a responsibility to ourselves, our children, grandchildren, and the simple fact that America belongs to us - not the rich and powerful that have been making all of our decisions. If we want to maintain any semblance of freedom and the “American Way” as we have known it, immediate action is necessary to force Congress to take action whether they like it or not!
We elected this cowardly bunch of do-nothing Bush enablers to vote the will of the people, and they are refusing to honor their duty or even acknowledge that they are not free agents, but work for the American people!
The time for complacency is over, and if we are to hold-on to the American dream, it will take sacrifices, and those sacrifices should begin on the 4th of July Holiday, the one day when it’s appropriate for us to re-state our independence and throw-off the yoke of oppression!
America, and the Truckers of America, I implore all of you to honor Independence day by participating in a strike that will effectively stop all commerce in the United States!
It is legal to strike, and I am not advocating violence in any way. In fact, if the Truckers strike, I suggest that they make deliveries to hospitals and pharmacies and other critical infrastructure that is necessary to protect the health and welfare of the American people.
But when it comes to other matters, we need to stock up on food and prepare to watch as the people flex their right to participate in legal, non-violent strikes which are an American tradition, not an act of subversion or terrorism, but a demand that our Congress simply fulfill their duty and impeach the President and Vice-President of The United States.
Poll after poll has reveled that the American people are fed-up with Bush and Cheney (To which Cheney responded on television, "So?") as well as our worthless, do-nothing Congress, and there has to be something that “we the people” can do to send a message to Congress that will reverberate across the United States and the global community.
Think about it and do some soul-searching; there are just 5 days until the 4th of July Holiday; it’s one day that we all believe in and it signifies when we declared our independence from the authoritarian rule of England and King George III; it’s especially significant when we understand that our current “King George” has given himself powers that even the English refused to grant to King George III during the Revolutionary War!
