I have very rarely (and usually incorrectly) been accused of optimism, but there is a distinct possibility that we can recover from Trumpism. It isn't looking promising right now, but it could happen. What it would entail is a recovery of some sense of sanity, and a return to Congress enjoying at least a semblance of responsibility, and enacting laws and constitutional modifications that would make something like Trump an impossibility going forward. We simply cannot allow something like this to ever happen again. And that is only if we can manage to get our feet back on the ground THIS TIME.
