Christopher Wright

Is it American? No, of course not, no torture is. Does it result in truth? Not by most studies of any and all tortures. Yes via the CIA and the administration who just happen to destroy all videos and transcripts of such events. That makes sense, this way they can tell us what they want to and it doesn't have to get all messy with accuracy.

In reality, I don’t have a solid stand on water-boarding. I do have a solid stand on my country’s leaders being secretive, lying, and waffling on each and every issue. Nothing makes me uncomfortable like unsubstantial & vague people holding offices of power. Nothing makes me more suspicious like avoiding and dancing around issues. The old street rule is ‘Walk your talk and talk your walk? If these folks don't have the cajones to say what they believe and believe what they say, why the hell do we have them there?

If you can’t trust the President, the VP, the Secretaries of Defense, State, Homeland Security or the CIA, (or even Congress) who can you trust?

Yep, it is time for radical elections. Not just Dems and Repubs – start now to listen to all the various parties who have people running for office. Find the people who are right for office, regardless of the simplistic of ‘wasting your vote’ by voting outside of the main parties who seem to be a single animal with two heads. Fill the Congress with new people all the way around and as diversified a group as possible. Imagine a Congress where everybody has to find others looking over their shoulders and who have to create compromise among principled peers. Imagine a Congress that functions for the people.

Let's have a completely new Congress that knows full well that they too will be thrown out on their ear if they only promise and don't produce.
