Most astronauts get cancer, from prolonged gamma and cosmic irradiation in space. Cosmic rays are so powerful, it would take a 100 foot thick hull, to block them. There are dozens of stories of Astronauts with deformed hearts and eyes, from prolonged gravity deprivation. Premature dementia and thyroid problems from excessive radiation, exposure are significant among astronauts.

What a friking joke space travel and, Mars coloniztion are. The shear amount of atmospheric pollution from all the poisonous; rocket launches; needed to build space platforms for interplanetary space travel, is enough kill everyone on earth.

The amount of rocket fuel w uranium and berylium catalysts in it, to get major stations up is poisoning the atmosphere already. There are 30 abandoned plutonium nuclear reactors in space, waiting to crash down. They Put them into orbit in the1960s.

We know what reactors in space will do to astronauts, with the cosmic rays. The reactors will compound exposure, making the radiation exposure lethal.

It is like all the sailers in nuclear subs, sueing the govt for premature cancer in radionuclide leaking subs with> embrittled reactor heads and, coolant systems.

There is the necessity for completely self-contained oxygen rich air. Self contained recycled. water and and waste for months or years. What a damnable joke. NASA Wants to Set a New Radiation Limit for Astronauts | WIRED click here It looks great in scifi books.

It is all really science fantasy.

X-rays ravaged Thomas Edison's assistant's hands and killed him. X-rays ravaged Thomas Edison's assistants hands and killed him. click here

Thomas Edison began experimenting with X-rayin the 1890's, after Roentgen accidentally developed the imaging technique for x-rays.

Clarence Dally was an assistant in Edison's lab . He would later regret exposing himself to X-rays. Dally exposed his hands to radiation, a thousand times more powerful, than what we use today. He did it for hours and years.

Dally's fingernails fell off, as horrible images show, Dally developed carcinoma. Dally's left arm had to be amputated, 4 fingers of the other hand, cut off. Dally's entire left arm cut off. Dally died when he was 39. He died from metastatic carcinoma, that had spread over his whole body. That was just eight years after his first X-ray. The first xray of bones beneath skin, captured Dally's attention.

Dally became an assistant to Thomas Edison. Dally was ready to make the x-rays, his life's work. In the end that work killed him.

Dally exposed his hands to radiation over and over, until melanomas put holes, in his hands . As shown in Edison's horrible pictures.

The x-rays, led to the amputation of both ofDallys arms. They led to his death. Clarence Dally's hand was covered in lesions fromX-ray radiation, in Thomas Edison's lab.
