The next day, as soon as they began reporting the vote counts, I did forty-two screen saves which preserved all the data for the first round, and the final round, and the delegate percentages, for all 99 counties in Iowa. This is what we call a "time slice," synoptic data, what the numbers were when 62% of the precincts had been counted. These are signposts on the trail. All of this data will prove invaluable as yardsticks against which to measure the veracity of the final official results. Either the comparisons will make sense, or they will not.
Election integrity is one of my fields. I have been a recognized expert in state court (Moss v. Bush) and in federal court (King Lincoln v. Blackwell). I do have four degrees, but these are not what made me an expert. I am entirely self-taught. My expertise comes from examining the actual forensic evidence, and my ability to evaluate that evidence comes from hands-on experience. I had to learn as I went along, starting from scratch, but you don't have to do it that way. We plan to use the records from the Iowa caucus and the New Hampshire primary as a way to train our fellow citizens. If I can do it, you can do it too. We invite you to join us. We need all the help we can get. We can begin with the four early voting states, the goal being to have a network of watchdogs and sleuths in time for Super Tuesday, all of us acting in concert to safeguard our elections. This is what democracy looks like. It is not a spectator sport.
JB: Indeed! Thanks so much for talking with me, Richard. This will be quite a ride!
