'Could Death Be Far Behind?'
  Details   DMCA

Once we killed God could Death be far behind?

The very thought gives men pause.

And now we're very busy creating apps

That will allow us to live miserably forever.

The philosopher thought, strolling 'neath Wordsworthian clouds.

.

But then, lo! what heard he then?

What voices from some new wilderness

Cried out like a Blake drawing pen?

.

Don't humor the rabied beasties

All foaming at the mouth

Don't get bitten

For you'll be smitten

With doggie moonlove for them

With bell-driven Pavlovian phlegm

Crevices filled with yeasties

Love gone south

For the winter; probably West Palm Beach

Where canefield canals are filled with gator teeth

.

Once we killed God could Death be far behind?

The very thought gives men pause.

And now we're very busy creating apps

That will allow us to live miserably forever.

To repeat the same mistakes, eternal recurrence,

Amor fati, superman, will to power, but then

Nietzsche's last words were, "Mama, I f*ck up."

For whatever that's worth.
