In the USA, a coup d'etat actually took place when the will of the people was replaced by the will of a limited group of people representing the interests of the military-industrial complex.
Yes. The power of the military is not legally secured. But the distribution of the federal budget clearly shows whose interests American taxpayers serve. The distribution of financial resources contradicts the legislation. This is America's greatest paradox.
